Detector tests and panel checks follow regulation and manufacturer calendars; gaseous systems add periodic cylinder weighing/pressure checks and room-integrity verification. A maintenance contract consolidates these calendars into one plan with a report per visit.
Holding the design concentration depends on enclosure tightness. A door-fan test measures the leakage area and the retention-time calculation is verified against it. The test is repeated at commissioning and after room modifications.
Selection is based on the scenario pressure (peak and duration), duct section and allowable leakage. A wrong pressure class either trips ventilation early or lets the wave through — selection is therefore always a project calculation.
